We fell in love with sushi when it was served in very few places in the U.S. The first sushi experience I had personally was in Japan, and then later in LA at A Thousand Cranes in the then New Otani Hotel. We had sushi at Nobu Matsuhisa's restaurant in Beverly Hills before the Nobu's brand restaurants elsewhere existed.
It is for the love of this cuisine and the determination to track past, present and future adventures as sushi lovers that I started this blog.
